sorry about that. i don't know where it came from. the show my friend was in just closed, and i was working backstage doing props for it. the musical opens this sunday. we had dress rehearsal last night. it was okay, considering i have about fifteen seconds to make a costume change and then sing in a nightgown with a spotlight with the power of seventeen suns beaming down on me, thus making the nightdown transparent. *sigh* the evil little lapel mic never wants to stay clipped to my collar. let me explain something: my dress that i wear most of the time has a very high and tight-fitting collar and a built in corset. (why, oh why, do i always get stuck with the old dresses?) so i reach my fingers into the collar so i can get an occasional breath, but then it makes my mic come unclipped. oh, the price i pay for art. i had to go through some major training last night. it was our only dress rehearsal and the first time i'd had to sing in my dress. i was absolutely impossible to breathe! the director had to stop about fifteen times when i started to gasp for breath every now and then. yeah...that was not cool. i brought my camera to film a little more of the documentary my friends are making. unfortunately i put in the wrong tape so i'll have to film again on opening night. my friend was filming with her camera while i was singing. the whole tape is practically filled with "CUT!!" because i just had to breathe so many times!! damn my lungs! oh, dearie me, does this mean the docudrama's ruined?? lol. heaven forbid that i ever have to exhale.

so, i know you've all been waiting for the good news: i was cast in the summer show!! i'm playing the lead!!! i found out this past monday but haven't updated since then. they're doing "anne of green gables" and i'm playing anne! oh, this is going to be ever so conducive. i've memorized two scenes so far, but i have a long way to go. this really hot guy is playing gilbert so i don't think i'll mind this role on bit!! (even if i do have about seven costume, hair, and makeup changes, but then again, i do have my own costumer to help me.)

well, i'd better go do something productive other than bitch about theater stuff.
